Back on the saddle

This is my very first blog and what better way to start my blogging experience than by posting about a hobby I lost and found again ... biking! :)

Today was the first time I got on my Marin bike in over six months.  Work and other things (mostly laziness) got in the way and before I realized it months and months had passed by since I last put on my biking gear and enjoyed the outdoors.

I left the house around 6am and headed for Daang Reyna.  People have told me that the place had improved since I last saw it and they were right.  The first thing I noticed was the sign welcoming bikers to the Bikers' Station.  Naturally, all I could read was "FREE"!

Immediately behind the sign are the tents filled with people selling all sorts of bike-related merchandise from biking apparel to bike components. (Note to self:  bring extra cash next time because "Please please pretty please" is not an effective negotiating strategy.)

I got there early so there were still a lot of bikers in the area.  There's plenty of parking space next to the tents.

There's even a soccer field right after the parking area. Sadly, David Beckham was nowhere in sight.

This is definitely a great place to go on the weekend.  Next time my wife and I will take the car and even bring our pug, Einstein, along and let him run all around the wide open spaces.
